Saturday Cricket on Dunnikier Park

Posted by UMPS on October 8, 2012 at 7:50 AM

We are very pleased and excited to announce that Dunnikier will be playing Saturday Cricket again from the start of the 2013 season.

Due to an influx of cricketers from another club we have applied and been accepted to re-join (after an absence of 3 years)the East of Scotland Cricket Association (ESCA) Division 2 League from the start of the 2013 season.

This will be the start of a new era for the club and we would welcome any previous and of coarse any new members to our club. Please contact our website or e.mail Alan Cutter on [email protected]

We will still participate in the Forth Cricket Union(FCU) League on a Sunday, which will give as many members as possible a game of cricket each weekend.

As we have 'Top Club' and 'Club Fife' structure in place we are also looking for youngsters to join.

12.12.2012  Further to the above, and due to more cricketers joining,we are now in a position to field a 2ndX1 starting in 2013 season. This has been agreed with ESCA and will be in Division 8.

As a former player from the 80s and early 90s delighted to see the club playing Saturday league cricket again. Good luck for the season.

Congratulations on getting back to Saturday Cricket. Nice to see the club is going from strength to strength and even running a 2nd XI. I wish you all the best in the coming season and give my regards to the boys. I'll be watching the results section intensely!!
