Juniors Information

Dunnikier Cricket Club are re-introducing junior cricket for the 2011 season.  Unfortunately, this will not be an easy task and will require the assistance of a large number of volunteers to help push this forward.

A Juniors sub-group of the DCC Committee has been putting in a great deal of effort over the past months.  This has included getting the required policies and procedures put in place to support us in working with children.  This led to our accreditation with Cricket Scotland's TOPClub scheme, for which we hold the Active award.

Our next task is in actually providing cricket coaching and support in playing games for juniors.  This will in the first instance be driven by running a series of cricket taster sessions in local primary schools, culminating in a Kwik Cricket Festival at Dunnikier Park in May 2011.
