Most memorable cricketing moment
Winning the McKane Park 20/20 despite having a 'mare of fielding
Comeback win against QEGS Wakefield is up there for School 1st XI. Main batsman tonking us around the park was caught by a running catch from one of our fielders, then their last five went for less than twenty runs. We won by a dozen runs at most.
Winning Pocklington Cricket Tournament in last sporting event with
Cricketing moment you'd most like to forget
The 'mare of a fielding performance against Dunfermline at the McKane 20/20.
Best player you've played alongside
School- Stephen Ditchfield, classy batsman and a fiery pace bowler at his best.
Best player you've played against
The tall QEGS Wakefield batsman. Can't remember his name. Like a
one man batting line-up. Had all the shots, Great foot movement for his height.
Best batting performance
Last wicket pairing for School 1st XI on debut. 45 run partnership.
Nearly won the game lost by five runs. Gutting but happy with how I
Best bowling performance
Think 5 for 6 off five overs against George Watsons College. We were missing our two best players and they were full strength.
At the club it would be bowling eight overs straight through against
Kismet in the sun and only going for 12 runs on a belter of a track.
Best fielding performance
Not really got one specific one. Fielding in 2005 as a season was best
i've ever done.
DFLer or DFAer?
Preferred wicket celebration
Hmmm depends on the moment. Sometimes the fist pump or raised hand.
/finger. If i'm really pumped then the Leyton Hewitt 'COME ON!!'
usually works well.
At Uni-help the club get promoted and get recognition at uni.
Dunnikier-Play in the next century.
